Create a One-of-a-Kind Print to Take Home

Take home a unique keepsake inspired by Taiwan's rich cultural heritage. Choose from two traditional woodblock designs: the dragon and phoenix motif, the signature emblem of TaipeiEYE, or a classic Door Guardian image rooted in Taiwanese folk traditions.

Roll an even layer of ink onto the carved woodblock, place a sheet of xuan paper (Chinese calligraphy paper) over the design, and use a Baren (a traditional printmaking burnishing tool) to gently rub the surface, transferring the image onto the paper to create your own print.

Because every print is shaped by subtle variations in pressure, ink distribution, and paper contact, each one is truly unique. Along the way, you'll also gain a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship of wood carving and the traditional art of printmaking.

Once you've finished, place your print on the drying rack in the corridor. Don't forget to pick it up after the performance!
